Precision GPS Soil Testing

GPS Soil TestingSoil Analysis

The goal of Ag Grow Consulting, when it comes to soil testing, is to collect a soil sample that is an accurate representation of a field and apply our knowledge of local soils and conditions to reach our customers yield and profit goals. In order to better track the fertility of a field over time, all samples collected are GPS referenced so that the same spots in a field are sampled from year to year. Sample cores are collected for two depths, a surface layer of 0-6 inches and a subsoil depth of 6-24 inches. Ag Grow Consulting feels that a 2 depth soil analysis is essential to correctly identify the stratification of immobile soil nutrients.

Soil sampling is generally preformed in the fall to ensure adequate time for analysis and delivery of results. Soil TestingAg Grow Consulting generally plans several meetings throughout the winter with our soil testing customers to review their results, crop plans and yield goals. Ag Grow Consulting is always willing to work with our customers to ensure that they are comfortable with the fertility recommendations that are prescribed.
